Anne is qualified in a number of different chiropractic and soft tissue techniques to help improve your spinal / joint bio-mechanics and reduce nervous system interference.

The techniques used will be based on her clinical judgement and your personal preferences. Our aim is to focus on you and not your disease to help you live your life to its full potential. We agree your tailored plan of care at the start of your treatment and review this on a regular basis so that your needs and expectations are met. Whilst many patients respond well to the gentler, more subtle techniques, some respond better to those more physical adjustments.

Network Spinal AnalysisNSA-2

One of the main chiropractic techniques used is Network Spinal Analysis (NSA). NSA is an evidence based approach to wellness and body awareness which uses gentle precise touch to the spine to cue your brain to create new wellness promoting strategies. It assists the brain to develop new strategies to:

      • Dissipate tension from the spine and nerves
      • Connect with your body’s natural rhythms
      • Experience greater well being
      • Make healthier choices
      • Create a more self – correcting self reliant “magical spine”
      • Develop the Somatopsychic and Respiratory “healing waves”

These two unique healing waves develop that connect to and release the stored tension in your body to use as fuel for spinal re-organization and enhanced wellness. Network Spinal Analysis is an evidenced based approach to wellness and body awareness and is exclusively practiced by Doctors of Chiropractic in relationship to the identification and self-regulation of spinal tension.

A series of mind-body awareness exercises known as Somato Respiratory Integration or SRI for short, are also incorporated alongside Network Spinal Analysis to help enhance the healing process.

McTimoney Technique

mctimoney_walesThe McTimoney approach is typified by a whole body assessment and swift, light force adjustments, which makes it a comfortable treatment to receive. The subtlety of the adjustment demands great sensitivity and mechanical skill, and the technique is extremely effective. Chiropractors using the McTimoney method use their well-tuned sense of touch to locate areas where these interferences exist. They use light-force adjustments, which feel comfortable to the recipient, to align and rebalance the body, typically working on the spine, pelvis and skull.

Biogeometric Integration

Biogeometric Integration (BGI) presents a new paradigm in chiropractic by integrating contemporary, nonlinear science with the vitalistic philosophy of chiropractic, bringing an understanding of mastery to the art of chiropractic. BGI empowers the practitioner with an understanding of the innate geometry of the body, the biodynamics of how the moves and distorts as an integrated whole, and the force dynamics of both the osseous and soft tissue type adjustments. By learning these concepts it is easier to understand how the masters of the chiropractic adjustment bring ease and finesse to the adjustment. These tools assist the chiropractor in discerning the optimal positioning, force application, timing, line of correction, and location of the adjustment and all through hands-on palpation without the necessity of instrumentation.

Epley Maneuver

This treatment is used for a specific type of vertigo, called Begin Paroxysmal Postional Vertigl (BPPV), which is caused by tiny calcium crystals dislodging in the inner ear and brushing against nerves that control balance. When that happens, the wrong signals are sent to the brain, causing disorientation and dizziness.

Trigger Point Massage therapy

Gentle stretching or by applying direct pressure to the affected muscle, can reduce muscle spasms and flush out pooled blood and accumulated toxins

Myofascial Release

Identification and gentle release of tender areas where muscles and connective tissue are producing pain and restricted movement.
